The Game Poster Little Moments PosterTheatre Daedalus playwrights and co-founders Michael Parsons and Jaclyn Villano were announced as two of the playwrights who will be featured in the 2010 ShowOff! International Playwriting Festival, being held at the Camino Real Playhouse in San Juan Capistrano, California, January 8–17, 2010.

Villano returns to Camino Real for the second year in a row with her play The Game, about two people caught up together in a Parisian nightspot. It will be staged each evening during the seven night festival, which showcases plays from fifteen playwrights. Playwright-in-Residence Michael Parsons' short play Little Moments will be staged throughout the festival's run as well. The play follows a college student's comic and touching attempts to talk to a beautiful woman as the personifications of hope and doubt show up to weigh in.

The Camino Real annual event receives hundreds of submissions each year. The plays advance through several rounds before the top fourteen plays are selected. From those, only seven are staged. The seven runners-up receive a reading, one at the close of each evening during the festival. Parsons and Villano each have a play in the runner-up catagory as well. Villano's Perennial and Parsons' Adaptation will be featured during the festival's reading series after their winning plays take the stage.

Villano has already found success in San Juan Capistrano, claiming Third Place in the 2009 festival with her play A Lifetime of Firsts. The festival productions are voted on by audiences members and one is deemed Festival Winner, while two other plays will receive awards of Second and Third Place, respectively.
