Theatre Daedalus is excited to be taking part in Wild Goose Creative's New Year's Festival, which runs January 1–3, 2010!
The third annual New Year's Festival kicks off at Wild Goose on New Year's Eve and continues through the weekend—it will celebrate the great music, performance, film, visual art, art experimentation, and food that makes us love Columbus so much. Come for your choice of events or be there for the whole festival.
As our contribution to this exciting weekend of art, Theatre Daedalus presents a staged reading and follow-up discussion of:
THE COPPER ANNIVERSARY
A Play by Peter J. Roth
When: Saturday, January 2nd at 3:00 p.m.
Where: Wild Goose Creative 2491 Summit St., Columbus OH
Tickets are $5 for the event (or you can buy a complete festival pass).
NOTE: While Theatre Daedalus is presenting this staged reading, this is a WILD GOOSE CREATIVE event and as such, tickets are purchased through Wild Goose at www.wildgoosecreative.com
This new play by Ohio playwright Peter J. Roth begins on a warm spring day eighteen months after Felix looses his wife Zoe in a freak accident. On the morning of what would have been their seventh anniversary, Zoe suddenly appears alive and well and Felix and his family are forced to deal with sins and secrets thought buried with her.
The staged reading of THE COPPER ANNIVERSARY features the talents of:
JOHN GROTE in the role of Felix
STEFAN LANGER in the role of Paul
JANE MOWDER in the role of Gretchen
TAMMY MUSE in the role of Zoe
Directed by Jeremy Sony
About the Playwright:
PETER J. ROTH is a playwriting student in the Northeast Ohio MFA program through Cleveland State University with a B.A. in Theatre from Baldwin-Wallace College. His play Quick and in my Arms was given a stage reading at the CSU Factory Theatre and he will be back with Theatre Daedalus writing for Caught in the Act on January 9th. He is the co-founder of the Bessemer Project, a playwrights' workshop. Peter is a Cleveland native (almost to the point of being tribal) and lives there with his wife, Olivia.
