Unanswered We Ride

A NEW PLAY AVAILABLE FOR PRODUCTION
WORLD PREMIERE—2011 Edinburgh Fringe Festival

Edinburgh Production Details | New York Previews Information

When her nine-year old daughter takes a fall from the monkey bars at school, Reese O'Leary's well-crafted life changes forever. Her paradigm shattered, Reese does what any devoted wife and mother would do — runs away from home. Unanswered, We Ride takes us on a journey from a quiet Ohio town to the lush hills of Ireland, from the sleepless streets of Manhattan to the teacup ride at Disney World. Against a backdrop of loss and longing, playwright Jaclyn Villano challenges us to explore the people and places that make up who we are, and define for ourselves what home really means.

Directed by ELENA ARAOZ†, the production features JOY BARRETT*, JOE TIPPETT*, and MARTHA WOLLNER*.

Why Edinburgh?
The Edinburgh Fringe is the largest arts festival on earth: in 2010, more than 21,000 performers brought more than 2,400 shows to life at the Fringe. This is an unparalleled opportunity for artists to come together to perform and network with producers, promoters, journalists, directors and media professionals. Many productions have been successfully developed here, and many performers have had their careers transformed by a successful run at the Fringe.

Our goal is to gain international recognition and exposure for Unanswered, We Ride, and to catapult this exposure into production runs both in the United States and abroad.
